Project Title: Marine Exchange with AIS and VE

Motivation: A way to track vessels in real-time, as well as the ability to playback time windows of vessel movements.

Platform: Automated Information System(AIS), Microsoft Virtual Earth(VE), and Microsoft SQL Server 2008

Summary: The Marine Exchange is a non-profit membership based organization whose main purpose is to provide information and communications services to the maritime industry. The Marine Exchange provides access to an Automated Information System (AIS) data-feed, tracking vessel movement.

Integral GIS is collaborating with The Marine Exchange of Puget Sound to provide an easy, scalable vessel tracking and visualization application. This application, built using Microsoft Virtual and taking advantage of the new spatial capabilities of SQL Server 2008, provides Marine Exchange members an intuitive way to track vessels in real-time, as well as the ability to playback time windows of vessel movements.
